Oceania Cruises - 25.10.2011
Oceania Cruises, which operates four mid-sized luxury cruise ships, each with a strong culinary emphasis, has launched its 2012 European Collection offering 7 night cruises for the first time ever.
The Collection features over 40 cruise itineraries in the Mediterranean with 13 new port calls, in the Black Sea, Scandinavia, Russia and the British Isles and inaugural European itineraries from the company’s new ship, Riviera, due to launch in April 2012. Special launch offer cruise-only fares start from £348 per person, based on two sharing an inside stateroom on the company’s Aegean Marvels sailing 1st November from Istanbul to Athens onboard Marina.
The new European Collection includes Mediterranean sailings on board Riviera, which will spend her entire inaugural season in Europe, and her sister ship Marina (launched January 2011), as well as Oceania Cruises’ R-class ships, Nautica and Regatta.
Cruises are 7, 10, 12, 14, 15 and 21 nights’ duration, and guests enjoy complimentary dining in Oceania Cruises’ specialty restaurants (no supplement), entry to the renowned Canyon Ranch Spa Club, butler service in all suites and complimentary bottled water & soft drinks throughout the ship.
Guests cruising on the newly launched Marina and her sister ship Riviera, are also invited to take part in hands-on cookery lessons in the first cookery school at sea, under the auspices of trained chefs (extra charge), to learn about food and wine pairing in `La Reserve’ and to participate in digital camera workshops and art classes in the new `Artists’ Loft’ facility. Those celebrating on board Marina or Riviera also have the option to enjoy exclusive service and the finest cuisine in the private dining room, Privee, which seats up to 8 guests in luxurious surroundings.
New port calls include Almeria, Cartagena, Santiago de Compostela (Vigo) and Granada (Motril) in Spain, Argostioi (Cephalonia), Santa Cruz de la Palma, Batumi and Georgia in Russia, Trapani (Sicily), Akureyi (Iceland), Tasiila and Quaqortoq (Greenland), and Cherbourg, France.
Four transoceanic voyages also feature in the collection, one each on board Riviera and Marina in November 2012 and three on Regatta.
Bernard Carter, Managing Director UK & Europe, said “This is a very exciting new range of cruises and represents our largest ever collection in Europe, thanks in part to the fact our new ship, Riviera, which will spend her inaugural season in the Mediterranean. We are justifiably very proud of the two new ships and, along with Nautica and Regatta, we can assure clients of small ship attention to detail, with large ship service, comfort and style”.
